Last week I was approached by Jan Halvarson, of PoppyTalk, to be featured in her monthly themed market on PoppyTalk Handmade Market. She was interested in having Concepcioun’s journals be a part of her Back-To-School themed market.
PoppyTalk Handmade’s virtual marketplace is essentially a virtual craft fair, with each artisan selling the items at an online “table”. The point of the website is to curate a special selection of new and upcoming handmade items from artisans across the globe, and to expose their talents to customers, magazine and blog editors, and retailers.
I am thrilled to be a part of the market, and I wound up setting up a three month contract with PoppyTalk Handmade. In the near future, I will be featured in the holiday-themed and wedding-themed marketplaces. The Back-To-School themed market will be online from August 17 until September 18, 2009.
As an added bonus, I noticed tonight that one of my journals made it into the “teaser” post for the school market on PoppyTalk’s blog!
This is all very exciting for me, because I didn’t submit Concepcioun into the call for entries for this market but was approached, unsolicited, by Jan. If a well-known blog such as PoppyTalk noticed Concepcioun, then others will take notice as well.
